The Board is the governing body and represents the Foundation, having all the powers of administration and disposition of its assets.

The Board, as the governing body and representative of the Foundation, has all the powers of administration and disposal of the assets, with no limitations other than those legally established.

The Board is responsible for compliance with the foundational aims.

Within its faculties, the following ones are exclusive of the Board:

• Accept economic contributions and other acquisitions free of charge, with the conditions or charges imposed where appropriate, subject to applicable regulations, provided that prior authorization from the Protectorate is not required.
• Appoint the director of the Foundation and establish his salary, within the limits established by current legislation.
• Appoint the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Advisory Council of the Board.
• Approve the annual accounts, which include the balance sheet, the income statement and the report.
• Approve the annual budget and the action plan described in article 27.
• Approve the modification of the Statutes.
• Approve the merger and liquidation of the Foundation.
• Any act that requires the authorization of the Protectorate.
